New Home Before and After Series {Foyer}

Hi all!  A lot of friends have been asking me how our new house is and what I have been doing with the inside, and I thought it would be fun to do a series on the blog of “before and afters”  so you can see what I have been up to the past several months!!

So, I’d like to start with the foyer as it is the main pathway to any home.  Here is a before shot of the foyer as my painters were prepping the area and getting ready to skim coat the walls.  The walls were uneven and you could see the previous paint roller lines.   Keith, my lead painter, wanted to skim coat it all to make it look nicer.

It was quite interesting and nerve racking at the same time to watch them on this scaffolding.  I kept telling them to be careful…please be careful!  After all that hard work, here is what the new color looked like.  Color is Dakota Trail from Valspar.     Since I knew we were going to be buying “boat loads” of paint for this big house, I decided to open up a Lowe’s credit card to not only purchase all of the paint, but to purchase all of our supplies and updated products for the house.  When you do that, you also get a My Lowes online account, where you can keep track of everything you purchase from Lowes.  So I have all the receipts, colors, products, (all that handy detailed info)  online on My Lowes account page, very nice Lowes!
